I wish parents would listen

Once again, my parents say it's unlikely I'll get a Chinchilla. They may as well say I'll never be allowed any pet, well that's the way it's going. I finally find the one pet my Mum won't be allergic to, and yet it's still an unlikely yes.

You know, it raises questions. Over the years, when we've wanted animals, it's still been a no, but the excuses have been different. For instance, when we wanted a dog, it was a no because Mum was allergic, obviously. A rabbit: Nope, allergic to that too. Chinchilla: There was no reason, just a probable no. I think that this whole "allergic" thing has just been an excuse, not the real reason, otherwise a Chinchilla would be accepted into our family. It's sad, really, they don't know how much I want someone like this (not a guinea pig though, no way) You see other kids with their dogs and rabbits and pets and it's sad, because I have nothing.

I can't wait until I move out, then I'll get a pet!

Mum said she'd think about getting a chinchilla!

Well I asked about a Chinchilla and Mum said she'd think about it! I know that doesn't guarantee a yes, but oh well it's the closest I've ever gotten.

I'm really excited!

It would be cool to have (but can't have) a Chinchilla

I really would like a Cinchilla! I heard from everyone that they are really good pets, don't smell and are hypoallergenic to people allergic to dander. I also heard they are really lovable and affectionate to their owners. Unfortunately, my Mum is allergic to certain animals with dander. I have told my Mum and Dad that they produce very, very little dander. I also said I would look after him, clean him up, bath him (in dust) etc. But sadly no, I still can't. We have lizards but my dad is the main owner (and I've always wanted a Chinchilla) and so it isn't JUST me looking after them. I even have a name if I got one, I'd call him Remy. My sister had rabbits of her own (my mum is more allergic to them anyway) and they were ONLY my sisters, but she forgot to feed them sometimes and then they died(she didn't kill them). So I reckon that's one of the main reasons, because my sister wasn't very good at keeping animals.

Is there any online websites that you get to look after Chinchillas? Does anyone have any ideas about working with Chinchillas like RSPCA etc?

Thanks for reading.
